Roti canai, also known as roti prata in some regions, is a flaky, flatbread that originated from the indian subcontinent but has become a staple in Malaysian cuisine. The dough is made by combining flour,water, ghee (clarified butter), and sometimes a pinch of salt. The dough is then stretched and folded repeatly to create multiple layers, resulting in a flaky texture when cooked.
